In the event I meet my demise, my surviving loved ones should do as they please. I will be gone, and anything to be done is for them, and not for me. If for some reason they wish to follow my recommendations, even though they rarely did so while I lived, they are as follows.
If I am survied by my lovely wife Amanda, the utmost priority is that she be taken care of. Any remaining money should be used towards this purpose. Most importantly I hope that friends and family will care for and watch over her to help her through the rest of her days.
I would recommend disposing of my biological remains in a socially, environmentally, and financially responsible manner. After any potential organ donations, consider donating the rest for medical or scientific benefit.
There is no need for a religious funeral service. However, two aspects of a Jewish funeral that I strongly suggest are having the funeral just a day or two after I pass away, and sitting Shiva. I like a quick turnaround time because it lets you see who truly cares enough to drop everything in their lives to show up. Sitting Shiva gives other lesser acquantances a lower investment opportunity to come pay their respects.
As for my posessions, my friends and family should take things they will find useful. Unclaimed items should be donated to relevant museums or archives when possible. Some suggestions would be the Todd MacDonald Memorial Manga Library or the Alexandria RPG Library. Everything else should be sold or disposed of in whatever way is least stressful.
If there are any extra remaining funds, they should be put towards the preservation of whatever meager legacy I have created. It would be nice to keep the GeekNights Podcast, and my other works I created online and available for as long as possible.
